Whitby launches the Liza Lounge

Whitby’s premier waterfront banquet room has a new name. Port Whitby Marina is happy to welcome Liza Homes as a major sponsor, and patron of the Liza Lounge.

All are welcome to join Mayor Pat Perkins, members of Whitby Council and executives of Liza Homes for the re-dedication of this spectacular venue with its panoramic views of Port Whitby Marina and the harbour. The official launch will be an opportunity for the public to tour the Marina Clubhouse and the Liza Lounge, and enjoy some light refreshments with Town officials and the new sponsors. A special flag raising will also mark the occasion. Liza Homes sponsors many Whitby projects including Folkstone Park and Liza Homes Arena at McKinney Centre, Harbour Days and Movies in the Park.

In the three years since the banquet room opened, it has become a preferred destination for special events, wedding receptions, meetings and business functions. The Liza Lounge features a spacious patio, excellent refinements, flexible catering options and a capacity for 100 persons. Together with its premium waterfront location, the venue is in high demand for both Marina member and public bookings.

The Port Whitby Marina Clubhouse, where the Liza lounge is located, was completed in 2004 as part of a significant redevelopment which included expansion of the Marina docking capacity and improved access to the waterfront and adjacent trails. Port Whitby Marina is owned and operated by the Town of Whitby.
